About This Game Wolf Simulator is a simulator of a wolf with elements of survival. Before you start the game you will need to choose the class of a wolf. At the moment there are two of them : "the Warrior" and "Scout". Class wolf depend on various characteristics such as speed, stamina, attack power, etc. as the game progresses, your wolf will grow, participating in battles between packs over territory, to hunt a variety of wild animals ,increasing their strength. I am glad there were more games in that bundle.It is sort of fun but mostly horrible.The gameplay in itself is not so bad, but the game has several issues:No controls explanationOnce you launch, you better not tab out, or else you can't get back to it, so you have to close it through Task Manager close Steam (as ending the task in Task Manager did not even work, the app was still runnig) to then be able to launch it again.(MAJOR FLAW!)ALL of the hitboxes (yes, all of them) are wrong or misaligned. I could run my wolf's full length into rocks, but I got stuck on the empty space between that same rock and a tree. I could run through bushes, but not through the berry bush, which had a hitbox way greater than the actual bush graphics.This is what I could find, withing 5 minutes of playing.TL;DR: Can't recommend, many flaws. However, if you want to run around as a wolf, sure, buy it.. Most games made with Unity tend to be short and story heavy so when I saw the “Made with Unity” while loading I was a little excited, however When I saw the graphics of the menu screen that excitement was long gone. The game crashed many times leading me to restart my computer to fix it. I played for about 25 minutes before giving up on it. Looking through screenshots and other posts by the community confirmed that most people's games broke or had too many issues to play. Removing the game was the best solution I had.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Game Story-The story is basically a tutorial that lasts the entire game. The story contains very basic tasks like eating berries, hunting, and exploring. Completing tasks gives XP which makes your wolf stronger. Other wolves give you tasks that continue to push you further into exploring and learning gameplay. The storyline is very beneficial to gameplay and keeps the player learning new ways to play the game.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Graphic/audio Quality-The Graphics are very simple and not realistic at all with floating rocks, grass, and trees. The audio has a few cues to change based on movement and the weather. When looking up you can clearly see through the ground into the black abyss. The wolf models were average but still poor quality. Some games work well with simple graphics, this one doesn’t.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Gameplay/controls-The game froze multiple times forcing me to restart my computer just to fix it. The movement of your or the AI wolves is extremely choppy or delayed. Simplistic and hard to use menus make it hard to appreciate anything especially since they all look exactly the same. Navigation is based on a distance counter which i’m sure causes many issues when trying to navigate obstacles in the way.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Advertisement vs gameplay-Reading the “About this game” section and comparing it to the actual gameplay was very disappointing. The game is advertised as having “Advanced artificial intelligence of wild animals and people.” which compared to most of them walking back and forth not acknowledging you doesn't seem like AI at all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Community-The community is very not existent. Most posts are about bugs or how no one is online. Sadly very few enjoy this game or play regularly.. Got this with a 90% off coupon and was extremely disappointed. I thought it would at least run so that I could stream the game, but it doesn't go past the screen with the sponser shout out.. Latest update attempts to bring some of this potential to light. Developer seems to have sincere desire to improve and redeem this gamne. Things such as gameplay and graphical bugs were adressed and many technical problems and tweaking have been done. A card/badge set were added as well as the update features. At least, unlike many other games, problematic design and a bad launch did not send the developer running to abandon, credit due. Perhapos this game can be polished up after all as I found the game, post-update, alot more interesting and playable. Kudos to the dev for sticking to creatio0n and attempting to repair it.
